sebastian is a cat jen adopted 15 years ago.
a simple description of a presence that connected me to the ether in a way i never knew possible. sebastian and jen connected immediately as per jen. a boisterous kind considerate but snoozy and always gentle cat that understood when to be a goober and when to be a snuggler and when to mug down on a corn cob and just slob it out.
sebastian had a soft paw when he loped in place while tamping the soft blankets, and he had a springy earnest step when he used my head and pillow and neck as a toll road from the night stand back to the middle of the bed.
no cat knew how to snooze like him. he could help us rest just by slumbering with a ridiculous anthropomorphized smile on his face. we never learned his technique but i might try to spend the rest of my life tryinf to attain his sleeping prowess. a majestic tiny lion with a soporific goal above his ferocious instincts.
sebastian was beset by tummy troubles and other lame health issues, which leads me into the true assessment of why such a glorious friend in life would be yanked away. it can only mean THIS simulation was not fit for the superpooper, and he has now been whisked away to the good place simulation.
snuggle janet is now friends with sebastian and we will have to find a way to sneak into that sim. well, jen will definitey have a free access pass to the sebsim. i will have to work quite a bit harder im sure.
suffice to say, our hearts, our lives, our house and our overall fitness as humans have been radically maxed out by sebastians loving care for us. we have no choice but to honor him in life and live by his example.
we miss you and hope every day you manage to pull off some hollywood ploy and communicate with us from wherever you are eating salmon and reading books about improving your sleep and your ability to open doorknobs, as well as improving your digestion when it comes to bryophytes and most palm leaves.
i miss you dearly and want you to come haunt our house as often as you can find time my friend. at least give us a warning as to when the vogons are on their way.
