1 sweet potato peeled and diced
1 cup of frozen corn
(this is more than aamir used before, it worked well)
SPICES
2 tsp - dana jeeru
1 tsp - smoked paprika
1/4 tsp cayenne
1.5 tsp of liquid smoke
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp of accent
LEGUMES
no salt cans of beans,
1 can black,
1 can great northern,
1 can kidney
LIQUIDS
Some Oil
1/2 cup iquid of something below...
bean liquid,
beer (dont do this with gluten beer if you need to be GF),
water,
broth
EXECUTION
sautee oil onion garlic peppers
dry spices
1 minute so everything is nice and together
toss the rest in
turn off saute, change to manual high pressure
6 minutes
instant pot will take longer to get up to pressure,
then cook for a full 8 minutes.
yasmin then vents it, removes the lid and uses sautee setting
she gently mixes and lets the water reduce to get texture thicker.
ends up being 45 minutes of time
aamir found it to be a little watery so he...
added 2 tsp corn starch in a little water, mix it up
dump into chili and mix it up in the chili
